RB FUNKESTRA

The nine piece hornband was first established in 1995 in Boston/USA around the Berklee College of Music Scene.

Numerous Concerts led to their first recording Boozing Wizards - an "old school" Jazzfunk record that features musicians from the US and Europe including Berklee faculty members Larry Finn and Dave Limina.

After Stefan's move to London in 1996 he reestablished the band. Some of the musicians that worked with the band since then are:

  • Nichol Thomson, Dave Palmer (Trombone)
  • Duncan Mackay, Simon Finch (Trumpet)
  • James Knight (Sax)
  • Eran Kendler (guitar)
  • Jamie Norton, Dario Boente (keys)
  • Marc Lloyd, Koby Israelite, Paul Newton, Asaaf Seewi, Dean Payne (drums/percussion)
  • Taka Boom, Shaz, Adrian Berry, Khaki (Vocals)

Performances in the London Club Scene have led them to work with TAKA BOOM (Chaka Khan's younger sister). They recorded some original material as well as Taka's own foot stomping workout "Love Party".
